one piece, bleach, full metal alchemist, naruto, and inuyasha i know for sure have good english versions. they're also mainstream animes, so you can be busy with those for quite a while.

Code Geass is really the only anime that is remotely close to Death Note that has decent english dub.

Sword Art Online is currently being dubbed and shown weekly on Cartoon Network on Saturday nights as part of there Toonami anime broadcast. Which features Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, and Soul Eater. Which are all main stream series, not to say they're amazing, but they're worth mentioning.

Also worth mentioning are the Neon Genesis Evangelion movies, if you don't want to invest yourself to an entire series.

I watch most anime in Japanese though, so these suggestions are based on them having english dubbed versions and not my personal tastes.

If you just enjoy the darker feeling of death note than you'd also enjoy Hellsing Ultimate, Claymore, Black Lagoon, Berserk, Elfen Lied, Gungrave
