Well honestly, it could be a giant coincidence.

That and idk how many people even know what M theory is. They did not teach me any of that in high school, granted that was like 8 years ago no idea if they teach it now.
But my guess is probably not since some form of creationism is on the table in most states.

it is interesting tho looking at the dates of the Clannad VN, it is like they knew how important that idea was and used it to enhance their story at a time when was it was hardly even known by anyone.

clarify what you mean by "coincidence"

cuz a player trying to shoot a basketball at the hoop and calling it a coincidence that he aimed for the hoop.. doesnt really make sense.
