It's extremely vague but a friend of mine and I have tried thinking of this for years. The few details we think we can remember is that there's a huge tree in the center of a lake (we think) with a little house nearby that houses multiple people. Also seems like the tree opened up and acted as an elevator of sorts to a spaceship. Can't really remember anything else or if that's even 100% accurate. Lmk if it jogs anybody's memory

Tenchi universe was pretty good too and so are some of the movies.
