so i recently got into romantic comedies and have noticed something....

is it just me or do all of these animes/mangas use 90% of the same material?

same boring characters with minor quirks/features in a failed attempt to create a unique identity for said characters

dragged out using the same plot devices based on the same type of misunderstandings, embarrassing situations, competitions, events, competing love interests, back stories

it's all so boring and predictable :/

how does this genre survive?

To Love Ru has several chapters with more coming out.... there's like 10+ in his harem.
