I prefer more adult theme'd one such as Samurai X (Not the animated ruroni kenshin stuff, but the actual OVA) or DeathNote.

Back when I was younger, I've tried:

High School of Dead
The one there the girl works at a maid cafe and likes her highschool class mate
Afro Samurai
Blood+
Code Geuss

Lately I havent been able to pick one up that I liked. Any suggestions?
