FMA Brotherhood was great.. I watched it after watching FMA because I was so disappointed with the ending.. I was hoping it was a continuation.. To my surprise it was a similar beginning, but a complete different turn with the story after 10 or so episodes.. and I preferred it greatly. It all depends on what you like.. I kind of enjoy the random and funny animes, so a suggestion I would have is Azumanga Daioh. If you are looking for something longer but less quality, theres always things like Naruto or, if you haven't already watched it, Bleach / Inyuasha, although at points it can get dull and somewhat repetitive..
