What I've Seen From Best To Worst:

Code Geass (Clearly the best show ever made)
FMA Brotherhood (If the ending went out with a boom like Code Geass would have put it before Code Geass)
Death Note (Light Yagami vs Lelouch what moar i need to say)
Berserk(cool story brah but lame ending, yes i know the manga is a lame shonnen, fanboys refer to definition above)
Samurai Champloo(story notin special but had me entertained all the way through with the lulz)
Naruto (I cried when i herd the truth about Itachi)
Phantom Of The Requiem (good show but often moved slow at times)
Dead Man Wonderland (started off good than it turned into a shonnen)
Yu-Gi-Oh (cool show if when I was a kid)
FMA (lameass fucking ending brah)
Rainbow(dunno what to say mang show deserves this spot though)
Monster (one of those lame shows where the guy has 100 chances to kill his arch nemesis but chooses not to and later whines about it to other people)
Wolf's Rain (moved too slow and was a bit depressing at times)
Clannad/Afterstory (had its moments but sucked overall)
Steins Gate (characters had some kinda mental condition that just made me not take the show seriously)
Elfen Lied (thought it was retarded as fuck just a sick show about pedos, echis, and incestry)
Sword Art Online (didnt watch but herd about the hype and knew it sucked bc shonnen)
Hunter X Hunster/One Piece/Bleach (was a fool to watch these when i started out watching anime, they belong at the bottom of the food chain, at least bleach had a pretty cool story if not for all the fighting also not sure why Lyzer likes one piece)

Watch Eureka Seven, Darker than Black, and Xam'd. Those 3 are part of my top 10.

Since you don't like shounen, here's some shoujo animes.

- Skip Beat
- Ouran Host Club
- Kaichou wa Maid-sama
- Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun

Shounen means young boys/males, and Shounen anime/manga means it's targeted for 12yr+ boys
Seinen means young men, which is like 18+ guys
Shoujo is young girls/females
Josei is young adult females, which is 18+ women
