looking for some recommendations for anime based on the ones i've seen to date i've liked so far

death note
higurashi when they cry
evangelion
hajime no ippo
berserk
samurai champloo
wolf and spice

i love anti heroes so that'd be a plus
clever/informative story lines are a plus
would like to avoid ones with predictable plots, cliche story lines, deus ex machina's and use of the phrases "that man", "that technique" or "that" w/e

dubbed would be awesome
