anime isn't really my thing. there are a few i watched as a child though that i really liked. vampire hunter d stands out in my mind. i'm trying to think of another...
it is 80-'s maybe early 90's and takes place in a post-apocalyptic modern city (nothing like ninja scroll). the main character carries what looks like a wooden sword. energy i guess comes out of it. not sure what else to tell you about it. there may have been some dude on roller skates. a friend of mine said maybe tenchi or something like that. it definitely isn't it. i remember this being more adult oriented. not the hintsomething stuff. not porn. that shit weirds me out.
also, a movie. not a series. main dude is trying to save some girl. may have broken his wooden sword thing and then found his fathers halfway through it. i could be getting them confused now. i'm really not that familiar with anime. sorry
