I hate mecha animes but I don't really understand why I liked it.
The ends were decent like btw for the story.

I don't get how it's overrated , if anything its overlooked .

Overrated is SAO

Overrated is Clannad

Overrated is Toradora

All retold stories with recycled content .

Eva is overhyped over the whole rebuild , but overrated it is not . Not too many Anime retell and rebuild an entire story that they themselves etched in stone with different variables and new content .

Which is why fans are excited for it .

Not lame OVA's of characters doing nothing with sub-par art and no real relevant stort changing plot .
