one of the biggest things I like about most anime is lack of repeated content
like, it doesn't assume you are only picking up a series halfway through and give you half an episode of recap every fucking time

One Piece is a big example of what OP said.
I mean holy shit, it took 6-10 minutes to recap last episode.

That's why there are 6584984 ep instead of 50. Like a leaf that fells for 10 mins... I think naruto.

You are absolutely right, I hate that crap in one piece aswell, not to mention that 25% of that anime has different folks shouting the same thing, take about stretching one piece takes it to a whole new level .
