I tried to watch alot of new animes but couldn't get through the first couple of episodes.. What happened to animes like slam dunk, Ippo elefen lied.. Deadman's wonderland, Breserk Why can't they make animes that can bring out some hardcore emotions,such as sadness, happieness, I don't know, maybe i'm just getting old.Keep in mind that i'm not a young viewer. I am 21 years old. If you think that i'm wrong, please suggest a new anime that can challenge my opinion.

21 years old is young. Also, in your argument, you listed Deadman Wonderland, which ended not even a year ago, so that almost hurts your argument.

Not all new animes are bad, you just have to find the ones worth watching. The only reason you find all the old animes good is because you never hear of the crappy ones anymore.

I personally only thought it was okay but I also didnt really like deadman's wonderland very much ( though I love shiro)
and elfen lied was okay but it had quite a bit of problems as well imo

but I think you would like "Another"

the reason I liked i like Elfen lied, deadman's twonderland and breserk. Is because they all introduced this idea of your loved one whom you can't live with as eternal enemy and worst nightmare. That it self challenges the viewers way of thinking and makes the anime very unpredictable. These type of animes I like very much. It's always amazing to experince new feelings from watching an anime. These animes had brought me those experinces. Now I'm searching endlessly for an anime that can do the same.
