but if you have ever read the novels or the manga or watch the anime that is out do you think they will ever make a game like that. thats full virtual reality game without you being trapped in intill you beat the game lol

i'm sure a game like it will eventually happen, just give it a few decades.
Even the way we are right now i doubt we could make a game like it even if it was played normally using a mouse and keyboard.

We could, if you haven't noticed the people in the anime spend their every waking moment in the game. They live their lives through it.
We can create it, but we can't play it.

What? I don't understand what's so special about the game, other than the whole virtual reality.

If you are talking about the sheer amount of content, that's no boundary, it just takes time/a big development team, the more you have of one, the less you need of the other.

If anything, I would say the complexity of the combat system in the anime is extremely outdated. Look at Mount & Blade, the combat system is far more complex and the game came out 4 years ago (again, we are pretending that SOA uses a mouse & keyboard)...

we're already in a virtual reality game. and if you die in this game, you die irl too
