I started reading hitman reborn a week ago orso.
I'm at chapter 34 but I'm not enjoying it.

It feels like random chapters placed after each other with no real story to them.

Does it get better then the first 30 chapters, or is this what I'll get for the rest of the manga?

It definitely gets better and I pray that you stick with it

It starts off as a gag manga then the author changes styles.

This. It starts out as all out comedy anime. After a bit, the epic shit starts! Not sure when in the manga, I enjoyed the anime. And Manga has more than anime.
