Started watching The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and confused.

Are there 2 seasons of this show? Do they go in chronological order of each other like S1 then S2 or is the 2nd set of episodes supposed to be integrated into the original 14 episodes and help explain some things?

The anime is a bit odd and enjoyable at times but not sure if I should invest much more time into it >.<

yes there are 2 seasons
season 2 is the prequel to season 1 however, the last few episodes of season 2 will fuck everything up.its down right horrible
honestly id just watch enough of season 2 to make you satisfied, try not to go to the end, you will become mind fucked in a bad waay
but hey might as well finish it if your gonna start it right?

In my opinion I think it is worth it especially because the movie (imo) was really good. I will say that if you feel like it skip episodes (at least those not related to plot or most of the endless eight)

S2 ep 1-4 I think are the same.

watch in the chronological order.. broadcast order makes no sense.

do you know where they have it in chronological order? The current site i'm using separates them into 2 separate series so idk when to watch what :/
