Idk about you guys, but most of the people I talk anime with generally consider Death Note to be that end all be all quality of anime.

So I was wondering, which animes do you personally consider better than Death Note, if anything.

You are talking with the wrong people.Almost all of the ones on this rec chart are better and I could say a lot more.

I love Miyazaki! But I'm really just looking for some TV shows.

And you really prefer every single one of these over Death Note?


Also, there's a chance DN just has a special place in my heart since it was the thing that got me into anime in the first place. :unsure: (but I still think it's one of the bests)

e/ And for the record, I don't consider it the absolute best, I just consider it one of the bests. Everyone else I talk about with it consider it the best they've ever seen.

Almost all of them. DN is lot more hyped than what it deserves. It's not bad but i wouldn't say it's one the best.

It's kind of like with Code Geass - they are great to get you into liking anime, but most people find them less and less appealing the more shows they watch.

It is hyped a lot, but idk, it's actually deserving of the hype I think. Bleach + Naruto are the only over-hyped anime I've heard of. (that I can think of)

Code Geass was also great. :blush: I just really love those kinds of characters ya know? And most important factor in shows for me is probably character. Light, L, and Zero always have a place in my heart.
