Hey there, I want to see both the whole FMP! and Higurashi anime (series, movies, ovas, etc), but there seems to be a lot of seasons/ovas/specials with different names for both of these and I'm not too sure what in what order I should follow... so it would be nice if you could help me out here.

In theory it doesn't. However in the case of FMP I would highly advise watching Fumoffu before TSR. If you get bored watching Fumoffu or put off, don't stop watching FMP. You can stop watching Fumoffu and start watching TSR which has a very different story format.

I don't really want to go into more detail about why the order actually matters for spoiler reasons.
