It's a steampunk-style anime they showed on netflix sometime within the past 2 years or so. Had something to do with a bunch of relics that were being collected by different groups, but what was important wasnt the relics so much as the message that was contained with them. The messages, when read together, would lead the way to the "promised land". They raced what almost looked like a cross between dogfight planes and podracers. Any help would be appreciated.
Another detail: There is a boy and a girl, he is a pilot and she is his mechanic. He gets into the business of fighting for one of the sides in the war and she refuses to fly with him until after he is done.
