My top favorites of all time are as follows:
1. Yu Yu Hakusho (tons of action and enough comedy)
2. Samurai Champloo (tied for #1 spot)
3. Outlaw Star
4. Fullmetal Alchemist (both series are fantastic, though i preferred brotherhood)
5. Avatar: The Last Airbender (though from nickelodeon this is one of the best series i have ever had the pleasure of viewing)
6. Claymore
7. Samurai X
8. Gundam Wing
9. Blood+
10. Vandread

Get rid of Naruto and Avatar and that would be a pretty good list.

Avatar is not actually considered anime by most ppl lol

even if I don't consider avatar an anime it was actually pretty good

yeah i mean it's not like a japanese anime but its animated and i loved it so it's on my list
