Well, this movie isnt anything like 5cm/s. Romance/drama vs adventure/fantasy. Of course it has some scenes that are reminiscent of 5cm/s, but thats due to Shinkai's style more than anything else.
As I already mentioned in the sticky, this was rather disappointing. Dont watch it with high expectations. Its a neat little adventure, but nothing more. The summary of it sounds better than it really is.
