Maybe Madara somehow knew that Obito had a special power?(Space/time jutsu)

i think madara's and kakashi's eye powers are similar, knowing that, and how kakashi has obito's eye, it wouldnt be too far off

I think the person in the coffin is Madara's brother. It's the only person that really makes sense to me. I don't get why Madara would fear Obito at all really. As the person who awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan at the same time as Madara, I'm sure that Madara has great respect for his brother's power and doesn't want to get in a scuffle with him.

I also believe that Tobi is Madara. If the coffin was "the real Madara" then I think Kabuto would have made mention of it at the moment where he revealed who was in the coffin. All I know this, this series is getting rather good and I can't wait to find out who's in the coffin, what power Itachi granted Naruto in their encounter, and the battle between Sasuke and Naruto.

I think that Madara has just lived long enough to learn all the uchiha eye techniques.

As for this, I think that the whole story wasn't thought through all that clearly when he was writing that part. Madara wasn't even introduced until late in the series.

his brother doesn't have enough influence to make tobi stop completely

Yes, he does. Madara only respected his brother, so it makes sense that he would either have a change of heart from his brother or be scared to battle him
And I'm going to say that maybe his brother was the the brother with the good side
There is practically no one else, and I pray to god they don't just introduce a randpm person

he's not going to release all 7 of his tailed beast, get rid of his rinnegan, etc, just for his brother...besides kabuto didn't rez his brother to sit there and talk with tobi.. he rezzed him for combat
