Just finished watching Mirai Nikki (Why haven't I heard of this before?!!)

Looking for a new anime to pick up (Only watch a few episodes a day, so I'd prefer something that's not 300+ episodes, 3/4s of which is filler...)


Watching/Have seen

Mirai Nikki
Gantz (Manga, not anime)
SAO (Light Novel, dropped anime)
Naruto (about 20 episodes, then manga)
Code Geass (Anime)
Serial Experiments Lain (Anime)
Elfen Lied
Deadman Wonderland (Manga, not anime)
Love Hina
Ouran High School Host Club
Negima! Magister Negi Magi
HighSchool of the Dead
Little bit of Puella Magi Madoka Magica (dropped because I moved and reformatted my PC and forgot what episode I was on...)
A bunch of others that I can't remember off the top of my head, but this is a general idea of things...
Really open to anything as long as it's decent.

One of my absolute favorites, though it's a movie and not a series, is Perfect Blue.
Enjoy blood/gore (Without it some fights just look bad), but it's not necessary.
Really like the strategy in things like Code Geass, (and to a lesser extent, Mirai Nikki)
Really love "fuckin' psycho" (no other way for me to describe them) characters lie Yuno from Mirai Nikki...

Not interested in One Piece (Didn't like the art), or Bleach (Didn't like the story, didn't like the filler in the anime) (dropped both) or anything like that... and again, no 300+ episode series, I don't have time to sort through all the filler.

And please, no mecha!! Code Geass was hard enough to suffer through...

If the manga/Manwha/Light Novel is significantly better (and you have knowledge of both) Feel free to recommend them instead (as I'm not afraid to read...)
If an Anime/Manga is better than the one version I listed, then recommendations on that would be great as welll.

I've just watched all current eps of following:
Bleach
One piece
SAO
Kingdom
Fairy tail
Death note
Naruto (just about 100 eps and stopped at there.. nn naruto)

Can't remember if i've seen more..

But lmk any good anime shows that's good.
Anime show(s) must include these;
Sword/katana fighting (or something like that, Bleach, OP, SAO and kingdom are good examples)
Friendship? or something like that, like in OP (Luffy and Ace) or kingdom (Shin and Hyou)
Anything that makes the ep good

Been trying to find good animes like those above myself.. but haven't found any
