hrm i am pretty sure he was still a captain when he met the mom. when he spoke after regaining his powers he said captain class shinigami but when masaki healed him he said cant believe a captain is being helped or something
i dunno about the obviously thing he may have never even used the final. also did he even use bankai against aizen? i really dont understand how these fucking shingami are on the job and straight up slacking even the commander himself. i mean i could understand the ones watching the gate and shit but people like ikkaku the 5th seat all those refusing to use bankai(although the 8th own was said to not be good to use around teammates and seeing as how his shikai affected even himself) but yeah end deja vu rant
