Have we even seen her face from back then? The same way you say they live for centuries could easily be argued that the commander is way older than her. Its a manga it doesnt take years for anything and without exact ages we have no way of knowing but i highly doubt she is older than the commander or within a few years1-99, also dont think she is stronger(if she were stronger then zero division and the quincies strength is just...wow then of course ichigo who is still growing lol i dunno getting to some super saiyan 4 fusion shit).

I would like to think since he created zanpaktos(the first divisions could have just fought with regular swords) he is up their in age too and he doesnt nor does any of zero division look as old as the commander.

No way ukitake with no facial hair looks older than shunsui...when they were shown in the academy even then shunsui looked older and now with even more facial hair and an eyepatch lulz he looks even older than ukitake who only seemed to have grown out his hair(this isnt to say that he isnt older just that he doesnt look it).

that quincy who was cut down also alluded to the fact that ishida was a cut if not a few skyscrapers above himself.

Renji along with kira and momo among other liets and hell even 3rd 5th etc seats are all younger than the 10th(although he is some heavenly guardian or w/e). Gin was a child prodigy himself enough to have aizen live with a little bit of fear. so the amount of time has nothing to do with it in a manga when they can make everyone a genius in some aspect.

while looking back for reference i saw byakuya when he fought ichigo on the hill say that ichigo was the second person to see his bankai's final form...so that is pretty cool wonder who the first person byakuya wanted to slay was, maybe a quincy. Also not sure but ukitake hair may be silver due to the disease isnt his eyebrows black or brown

back to my quincy thing...we know quincies or humans i should say have a limit of power but of course we also know that ishida broke that, we also know shinigami's have a limit too according to aizen and the hogyuki was the way to go beyond. hollows too i am guessing have a limit as well. Obviously we know of only 1 hogyuki but multiple sanrei gloves so it could really be that the soul king or whomever thought humans had the potential to overthrow shinigamis or the soul king himself.

I guess you got a point but mine also has a point. We won't know until further chapters.

The first person he showed his bankai to was Renji. He stabed Renji with his swords and then walked off.

As far as his disease it was never brought up into the manga as him having one or what not. All it said was he was sick. The anime threw together a story as to why he was though, so it is still unclear and I doubt it will be brought up.

Well they might of been worried about that but they also kill the soul and make a unequal balance which is why they had to put them down. The qunicy kill the hollows/wondering soul they don't cleanse them like the Shingami do. That is really why they killed them otherwise both the Soul Society and earth would of been fused into one.

The first person that Byakuya had shown his bankai to was not Renji. Byakuya was refering to his "Senkei" technique when he was fighting ichigo. He had only shown Senkei to one person before ichicgo. I'm sure Byakuya can only use Senkei while using his bankai, which means he used his bankai on someone before renji.

Just so you know the first person was him and he used his Senkei on Renji.

I already said that is the reason soul society gave but i also said it could be a cover up or a made up reason. example would be our(real people) sun burning out in millions or billions of years, so in the manga it would actually take tens/hundreds of thousands or millions of years for the quincies to cause such an occurrence if they would even cause it. Could have just been a made up reason to destroy a potential threat. Juha bach survived 1000 years ago when the story of why he was left alive or why the commander "didnt" kill him comes to light it could be something like seeking to much power or learning the truth behind the soul king who knows. Juha bach also knew about the divisions so maybe the original quincies are actually a race of soul society and fought the shinigami for the guidance of the soul king or somethign stoopid.

Well damn if he's sick or has a "weak or frail" body as the commander said im sure its due to some disease i was only saying his eyebrows were black so maybe his hair was too.

of course you could be absolutely right and she is older but im saying logically(which has noooooooooooooo place in this manga lol) speaking the commander looks to be the oldest shinigami alive.

I will need to read the renji fight again but i do find that strange that the 2 people he wanted to slay are prolly his closest friends not including rukia.

Pretty sure that's her shikai. Everywhere I've checked around states that it is and I don't think they would have revealed her abilities in reverse order. They make a big deal out of all of the captains' bankais.

It wouldn't make sense for something so large not to be a bankai. In the anime and in the manga it was never stated what it was but it's doubtful that it's not a bankai.



That's not Senkei. He just made random petals into blades. Senkei turns all the petals into blades, leaving Byakuya defenseless.
You skipped a page. After he says "this is Senbonzakura's true form..." he says it's "...senkei" on the next page, the page that you posted.
What he used on Renji was not the truest form of Senbonzakura, therefore it was not senkei.

Senkei is where he makes a thousand swords of rose petals. It only shows a few and those are inside of Renji, the rest of tje swords go around him like they did in the figtht against Ichigo. It didn't show them since it Tite wanted to leave the readers at "aww" until they got to this fight and saw what it really was.

I still disagree and I doubt Byakuya would have to use one of his best techniques against trash like Renji. Also, Byakuya said that Ichigo is the second to have /ever/ witnessed Senkei. Do you really think in the 100 or so years Byakuya has been a captain, he had to use Senkei within the same day?

And here's something else that I wiki'd.
"It is extremely rare for him to use this ability, doing so only when he has sworn to cut down the opponent with his very own hands.

He didn't have to use it on him. He used it to show him hey who cares if you got bankai your not the big dog in the block. Thats why he said "your fangs can't reach me Renji" (You can't hurt me/hit me/touch me/etc.) and then he ended up only getting blood on Byakuya. And he says "congrats your fangs reached me" and walks off with Renji dying under his feet.


Considering all they faught until that point were just Hllows or once in a while a Minos Garda. And Ichigo was killing them like they were nothing and messed up a Minos with a nice cut, without a shikai. So yes I highly doubt anyone has seen that Senkei besides Renji and Ichigo and well now Tsukishima.

Renji dishonered him and his squad by going up against Byakuya, thats good enough reason to swear to kill someone. Byakuya is of a noble clan and he must "respect and follow the rules" and set standards for all others to follow and admire. So if he had sworn to cut down Renji for dishonering him he would regain his honor and respect so he put a end to Renji's thoughts of being able to defeat Byakuya and save Rukia.
