As for the black pit they fell into, lets hope there swords manifest and they must fight like they would in there world to regain control of there swords for breaking them in a bankai state.
um everything i said has come exactly spot on to what you said.. 3rd party members of this thread would also agree....
1. you do know fillers have to go based off of the story line and adhere to the rules of the series... if it's able to occur in the filler episodes, then it follows the laws of the series

4. if their current zanpakuto's are broken, then of course they'll end up with newer looking swords.... unless u mean entirely different, upgraded swords. if so, then anyone who remembers how many times ichigo's sword has changed after internal training can infer such things

6. seeing the swords break when he put them together doesn't imply that he can break the swords? i'm confused at why you're even arguing here.
