I would say he's even stronger. Yamamoto trained for houndreds of years. Zarakai trained 1 day, and then just through fights. ^^

Well i guess ichigio should of lost when he first fought kenpachi to make this more believable

because ichigo raw power was a bit higher at that moment.. zaraki is using his power wrong..

it was a draw wasnt it and technically kenpachi was still standing while ichigo was down. on top of that kenpachi was training the dude all through the fight, why he didnt use kendo i have no idea.

pretty sure everyone felt just by her being older than shunsui and ukitake that she was strong, unohana that is. we've also seen many times in manga/anime where people who were ruthless/brutal w/e have a change of heart and decide not to kill for one and then only fight if necessary in saving an innocent or something.(kenshin,casshern the 2 i can think of for now)
hrm the author can say she is under the 5people of the zero division only when she refuses to kill but i honestly doubt that so i am fairly certain she's still beneath them whether she is bloodthirsty or not. the 5 zero division people are stronger than the gotei 13 as a whole so that included the commander + unohana therefore for it to be possible that she is above them one out of the 5 would have to be ridiculously strong i.e capable of beating the commander + a few more captains and then between the other 4 they take on unohana + the other captains/liet etc

Hrm i thought kenpachi was given to the strongest person in rukongai or w/e the villages/districts were outside of the walls. I also wonder if when you choose to fight a captain you are only able to fight the 11th. the central 46 only said that kenpachi would be a problem if he rebelled not that he is unstoppable.

Hrm i am quite peeved at the commander for allowing ichigo to be the one to stop aizen. after destroying wonderweiss couldnt he have just went bankai and fucked aizen up instead of using that kidou.

well you have to point out that most liet and captains really just aren't that strong.
If you were to say the strongest of the gotei 13 you would probably get, CC (ofc), unohana, shunsui, ukitake, and zaraki(potentially) then the visored, because obviously they have the mask which make them slightly stronger, and even for them shinji is the strongest and i doubt hes any stronger the ukitake. everyone else is pretty mediocre and really not that strong. Byakuya is played out and HAS to use bankai to stand a chance against anyone, toshiro, soifon, and komamura were mediocre to begin with. Everyone else is fairly strong, but no where near even zaraki (IE. komamura and the blind guy vs zaraki (who even got stronger after that point)).

I also want to think that the 5 zero division captains were part of the original 13 (if there were even 13) of captain commanders squad.
Or at least, they were allies with them. the 5 zero division captains each probably rivaled the strength of captain commander.
I don't think anyone was STRONGER then captain commander, but they were pretty damn close.

of course this is just me speculating, because if they threw all the op commanders into the zero division then the gotei 13 would be shit lol.
Also, whoever brought up the idea the unohana is a cold hearted killer turned good guy, and the reason she wasnt fighting the quincy's was so that she doesn't go back to what she was before... i like the idea. I think her shikai can do more then just heal, or if that is all it does, then her bankai must be nasty. did anyone see the first page of the chapter with the tornado and Unohana on the cover? if its anything like that then im really excited for the next chapter

still not sure if that is her bankai or not either way it makes a huge ass target.

hrm compared to who is actually what makes some of the liets and captains seem weak. kenpachi never fought the 7th captain's bankai iirc. the 10th is a baby ofc but he's definitely not weak. the 12th is a genius so im pretty sure he can win against people stronger than him especially now. soifon hrm well i dunno about her her shikai was beastly like aizens but can be overcome by higher spiritual pressure(which iirc wasnt that the fake aizen aka aizen's liet who she stabbed?). either way compared to ichigo cc sure they are weak in that sense but come on everyone being able to beat the boss isnt a good thing

and kenpachi is the title given to the strongest shinigami of each generation, something about winning most fights or killing most enemies.

I am confused about one thing in regards to Unohana.
I thought her name was Retsu Unohana. But now she was referred to as Yachiro Unohana.
Yachiro is obviously a name and not a title, as Zaraki's lieutenant was named after her.
I don't have any knowledge about how japanese names and titles work, so maybe I'm missing something obvious.
Can anyone explain this to me?

Apparently Captain unohana's real name is Yachirui Unohana, don't know why the changed it to retsu later.
Yachiru the liet was named after the one who zaraki kenpachi truly admired, which was clearly first kenpachi yachiru unohana.

pretty badass really, i feel like the next generation of "zaraki" after unohana were not fit for the name, cause clearly the captain before zaraki was shit if he got cut up by zaraki in 1 hit.

It was most likely changed to protect Zarakai, in not getting his memories back. He forgot who he was after all. But now that they really need to have him at full strength there going to try and maybe refresh his memory.

I don't have time to post atm, but i'm give my opinion about that other stuff posted, tomorrow.

Just saying, if your talking about zaraki kenpachi, then he does not have any memories. He doesn't know his shikai and he hasn't been around long enough to be a cold hearted killer. if your talking about unohana then i might just agree with you.
