i highly recommend what i just watched. it has EVERYTHING you can possibly need for your type of anime, plus some.

Kannazuki no Miko

I loved it. dunno if it hits top 5, but it's at least top 6. the only issue i saw with it is the fight scenes are a tad cheesy. the rest of it was masterfully done imho.

i heard it failed so badly

well, the mech fight scenes were not so good, but the love storyline itself was done really good. if they had changed the mech to like magic or something, then it would have probably been a hit. people probably dismissed the whole thing as bad just for the fight scenes. i was rating it at about a 7 before the last episode, but it did a very good job with the ending on it. it actually has it set where they can't really have a season 2 of it, since it covered what was needed in the end of it.

just finished Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni

quite liked it.

rated it 8/10 on mal

once you get past the first 8 eps it's really good. I personally liked the entire thing but I keep hearing from people that they drop it after the first 5-6 eps. Second season isn't as good as the first tho

if you want to understand the whole story you have to watch the 2nd season anyway

1st season rounded the story up pretty nicely imo

still gonna check out the second season tho ^^

second season is explanation etc. Not as entertaining
