I found Needless to be hilarious, loved the characters, although there is some fanservice which might put you off
Tengen Toppa has more comedy in first half then gets kinda serious later on, also has mecha but dont let that put u off cuz they get epic

gurren lagann is really good also if you do watch it watch both movies afterwards which is a summary of the show but with extra scenes

I dont typically watch movies. In my experience 90% of them suck.
