Ya I saw.... still had to grab it. Sounds like it'll follow from the Golden Age through whatever is happening this season. The armor etc? Never read the manga, but I've seen the old anime, and all the new stuff.

this new anime left out my favorite arc so i'm pretty salty. still a decent adaptation for a non-reader if you can get past that quality

To be honest the 90s show was the best anime I've ever seen, but the new stuff is ok, it feels a bit.. episodic? Doesn't really seem to push the story forward much, Casca gets lost/kidnapped every episode. I'm guessing the main story moves forward eventually and we see more Griffith, etc, or I hope. I don't mind the new animation really.

also, I remember when the movies came out I was thinking how ugly the animation was, and that the third fixed a lot of the problems of the first two but was still ugly. It looks like god's work compared to the new Berserk series and I'd happily take movie animation.

ye Lost Children is my favey. my main issues with the films weren't necessarily the animation but more-so how much they crammed; the main thing i remember was excluding Zodd from the battle of doldrey, made no sense men. everything just felt half-assed compared to the oldie
