For the first 75 episodes all or that had been animated before while Chimera Ant arc hasn't and the manga isn't ongoing.
I do hate some of the changes they have done like how Gon and Kite met and do wish they kept the pace they were going since it would make CA arc really really good but just seeing the fights animated will be enough for me.


Can't believe they killed off a few characters.

IIRC, the Chimera Ant arc started off pretty slow, and almost a bit painful.

And as previously said, the anime up to now was shortened a bit, and this part hasn't ever been animated before.


As a side note I'm really interested in seeing how the 10 seconds over 6 chapters (or whatever it was) turns out in the anime. If you remember that part.

Well I avoided this thread for a while since I figured some people would be dishing out spoilers, but I read through and its spoiler free :P

This has, by far, become my favorite anime. Haven't watched the original since I didn't want a cut-off ending. I might watch it later on.

Question for those who read the manga: does it look like they're going to follow the manga through the CA arc? Are the changes just minor additions (other than the Kite stuff) that just change the pace or are they actually changing the plot?

I wonder how that insect was able to withstand gon's fist :mellow:
i mean.. even razer couldn't stop the ball and that bomber guy got knocked out by it.

But the insect was still conscious :mellow:
Even though it hasn't got a Nen-aura..

If they get Nen-skills i wonder what will happen.

I'm pretty sure that's what they're leading up to. And he didn't exactly pick a good place to punch him, best explanation I can give lol

This, and also, Razer could've taken that punch if he only needed to reduce damage (on his body) probably, and also Gon had a lot more time building up energy.

Bomber was already Injured and didn't have much aura left, even less to spare, since he used a lot of it because of the rock etc.


@WMK, I hope, and think they will follow it as much as possible, the Anime has been a bit tuned down, at least from what I've felt (not just shortened, but a bit tuned down on the most violent/gruesome parts).

The CA arc was.. very gory and violent in the Manga, so they might tune it down a notch, but as long as they don't skip out on the story/characters later on in this Arc, I can promise you it's going to be fucking amazing.

Awesome that's what I like to hear! To be honest I'm surprised this is "toned down" since its still very dark and bloody. I can't say I mind. At the moment this arc is really good. Not sure why there are so many negative opinions out there

Well I've been talking to Lyzer, and he says people really disliked it because it was long and broken up. They sometimes had to wait months before getting a new chapter. Kind of understandable. But reading it from start to finish, its apparently very good.
