So Ichigo's mom was a quincy and when she met his dad they fell in love. Naturally the soul society ordered Ichigo's dad to kill her but he couldn't so he ran and hid from the soul society in the world of the living where he knocked her up. Naturally due to her high spiritual pressure she was frequently attacked by hollows. As a result, Ichigo has the powers of a shinigami, hollow, and Quincy. Sound about right? They never did explain why his dad left the soul society, did they?

doesnt answer the quwstion, why he has hollow inside him. Aizen did make an experiment,but.... I still think a holow banged her

So why did she get killed by a low level hollow?

1. having high spiritual pressure doesn't mean you know how to use it... that's like saying why ichigo got beat up in the first episode by a super low lvl hollow
2. she was protecting ichigo

Because he died once and turned into a hollow while trying to get back his shinigami powers?

During the fullbring arc didn't they say that you get those powers when your mom is attacked by a hollow when she's pregnant?

/e or like Vice said, he got his shinigami powers by beating the hollow inside of him



Perhaps she wasn't powerful? And when Ichigo went after the kid by the river, there was no way to know it was Grand Fisher. He was a hollow who had killed tons of shinigami and maybe she wasn't an exception. She ran down there to save Ichigo, and why would she jump on top of him to protect him from then hollow if she didn't know he was there? She could've just grabbed his arm and stopped him but instead she covered him for protection

No, he lost his fullbringer powers, Ginjo stole them.

He only become a hollow when he trained with Kisuke to become a shinigami again, he never had the hollow in him before then.



For all we know she could be someone really weak. Not all qunicies are/were powerful.

nor did they ever say ichigo's mom was a quincy. it also does not make sense why it would be a secret seeing as she is "DEAD". juha bach himself called ichigo a human and himself a quincy she he differs between the 2. therefore ichigo's mom should be 100% human so just because he used a quincy tech its still speculation until tite explains it.




Hrm i dont recall him becoming a shinigami more than once. i thought he got his hollow when he used kisuke machine to learn his bankai.
