Yea Kisuke's spell was suppose to stop him from evolving and reject it from him. However he is still strong and it would be a stand a pretty good fight again. He obviously has it all planned out he didn't even look mad when he was being sentenced. So I think he know Juha Bach was going to attack, and so he just waited for him to come talk to Aizen while he planned his new attack, so Aizen could/would break out, Hopefully.

Kisuke said that spell was only a seal, and it would only work when the hogyoku rejected Aizen and he was weak enough for the seal to work.
As for the hogyoku, I think it rejected Aizen because it found someone stronger. Imagine Ichigo using the hogyoku.

I wouldn't say ending up in prison when he was doing his whole hogyoku thing was part of the plan at all though. Once you have ultimate power like he was achieving, there's no good that would come of being stuck in prison. He probably has a plan whilst in prison, though.
