you guys are misinterpreting the storyline....when tobi said nagato was the third of the 6 paths, he meant that he was the third sage of the 6 paths, nothing more



have u guys not seen hanzo vs nagato? nagato possesses the abilities of all of his 6 paths of pain, he used these dummies to do his work because he's immobile from the hundreds of exploding tags hanzo placed on his feet, so it was inconvenient for him...now that he has returned with all of his physical capabilities, he'll be able to be badass again

and the statement has to be grammatically understood to make sense of it

it can be

"nagato is the third of the 6 paths"

or

"nagato is the third path"


the 2 mean completely different things

i can't tell if you're trolling or just retarded

or if nagato was simply the 3rd path on the way to became a sage of 6

let me answer this for you:

he said "Nagato, you were the third of the six paths".... he NEVER said "you are the third path" ever.... ever....in fact the two words third and path were never used consecutively....

and you must have never taken a foreign language class if you think it's impossible to translate 2 words... third Rikudō.....so yes.. we pretty much know exactly what tobi was saying and what he was implying.
