That logic is very flawed yet it's used everywhere. The bad guy wants the good guy at full strength, and that is always why the badguy loses.

I DO get the feeling that Yama might go down here. This chump seems to be a major antagonist and Ichigo isn't on the scene yet. It's hard to fathom because Yama is supposed to be like the pinnacle of power on this show and we're just now seeing his bankai though.

Juha bach is definitely older than 1k seeing as that was the time of when they fought(this is different from the quincy war) so he had to have some years on him along with being powerful as fuck to survive yamajii. i highly doubt failed to kill means he was spared
