Speed Grapher - somewhat of a love story, but really action packed
Black Lagoon - one of the first anime series ive ever watched, lots of action and gun play
Basilisk - epic ninja anime

edit: I watched these all dubbed, but thats just what i like, im sure the japanese versions are just as good

All I can think of right now..
Chrno Crusade
Kannagi

Not a whole lot of action in Kannagi but it is funny. I can think of a few others but they are more along the lines of demons and angels then gods x.x
