Maybe, but orochimaru must have been alittle bit drained, Kabuto says himself that hes using will power just to stay alive in his other vessel. I would assume that takes some mindpower.
and either way, orochimaru was and will always be a boss, and well i think nagato would have had a major hard time + we have no idea what orochimaru knew on nagato.
