hiragana is not that hard and there are a lot of simple little tricks you can learn to memorize it, like the character for no kinda looks like the English word no backwards or to ( toe ) kinda looks like a foot

but I remember when I was learning Japanese I started with just hiragana then once I had that down I was like ok now i'll go back and start learning kanji... did that for about 3 days got pissed off and said fuck it I know hiragana that is enough.

then when I went to Japan I quickly realized I could not read half of anything..

learning to read / write Japanese is like learning two languages at once... and one of them consists of hundreds of symbols all meaning a different word ( kanji )... its fucking stupid

but you have to admit you does look awesome i always had a fascination with Calligraphy when it came to being used when writing out Japanese/Chinese.

yeah one of these days I'll go back and give it the collage try... but I go no motivation to atm

Hiragana is freaking easy, and freaking easy to teach too. I taught my friend hiragana in like around 2 months and he didn't have remebering issues, as well as he never uses it really

but i prefer sub, will only watch a dub if I'm multi tasking (like playing skyrim with an anime in the background), but usually only movies, can't rlly stand dubbed series.
