actually i prefer action + romance animes. a little comedy mixed into them every so often is fine as well. in regards to the romance in an anime, i really prefer anime where the main chars actually end up in a relationship at the end of the anime and dont just hint about it the whole time. i love Fate Stay Night because saber and shiro eventually confessed their feelings to each other and then became a tear jerker when they couldnt be together. i think i would have enjoyed it more if they could have been together but that wasnt what the author was aiming at.
as far as ecchi and big boobs....SOME ecchi in an anime is okay but excessive ecchi and fan service is just annoying and will ruin an anime for me. imo if there is going to be anything sexual in an anime then go ahead and show the nudity ect. the fan service style sexual content just pisses me off, id rather not have any sexual content at all.
