Naw, Hirako didn't show his bankai. His Shikai was the little circular shit. And yeah, that was my point, Aizen would have killed them either way, so Kubo didn't want to make their bankais look weak.

So let me get this straight... If Ichigo ever lost his powers like he did, they were supposed to kill him? But instead they gave him power because he was the only one who could beat Aizen. After that, they gave him a choice because Ginjo showed up, and because he made the right one, now they're just gonna let him be?

Oh, and Ichigo got his ass at the end there, FINALLY.

yea i'll have to give kudos to kubo at this point. he didn't drag out the aizen arc very long, ginjo is dead and ichigo has back his powers. he can either move on with the plot, go back to aizen, or w/e hougyouku, or he could start a completely new arc. i think he's going to do something more with ichigo's dad to get him more involved in the plot this time around and it seems probable that eventually he's going to bring back aizen though.

Indeed. I'm sure next chapter will feature Ginjo using hollow powers or something and then more fighting.
