I think it's because they have lacrima that their self buffed dragon force is the equivalent of laxus'.
But if they reached dragon force with an outside force it might be the same power as Natsu's

i think only the strong slayers have the problem, as far as i can tell gajeel rode that walking spider building from phantom no problem then he went into hard core training and now has the problem , wendy has not been shown with it but i dont think we have seen her on transportation yet

who knows but most likely they all have it at all stages the 1st gens

sting and rogue are not dragon slayers, they have just some dragon powers and are not related to dragons so i dont know why they can ride ..

Sting and rouge are just like natsu and gajeel they had dragons train them, but they also had lacyrma of there same element inserted into there lbody like laxus or cobra, the point of this is so they can more freely enter into dragon force,

We even met the dragons who trained sting and rouge, zzz

thought the sabertooth ds would be super strong and shit, they got slapped around by Natsu... solo.

if they both entered into a legit dragon force natsu wouldn't stand a chance 2v1 in normal mode

but the dragon force they were in was barley a step up from the gen 2 dragon force, and the gen 2 dragon force is weak as shit almost every time laxus uses a powerful attack he goes into dragon force its more of a by product of using the lacyrma

The same thing everyone did in the past 7 years, open somthing in themselves ( can't remember wtf it was ) but yeah basically it happened with every wizard in fiore.

sting and rouge are using the lacyrmia in them to force a dragon force gen two style, but because there both gen 1's its a little stronger then gen 2, but its nothing compared to an full fledged gen 1 dragon force , sting and rouge can go into a real dragon force because there still both natural gen 1 style dragon slayers but there kinda cheating with the gen 2 style lacrima,


ultear used the arc of time to open a magic reserve in some of the FT members this is a natural reserve every mage has but requires time and training to open but in the end natsu gets his power from his nakama mostly re read last chapter the 1st pretty much says something like " fairy tail is stronger then all others because we fight for each other not for our selves "

so thats why a lot of natsu power ups dont make sense,
