perhaps, i think he wanted some one from the uzmaki clan to posses it for a while to devlope it further then what he was able to cause he us uchiha and now its much stronger i also think he has both of them but one is just sitting in a jar on his self probably

when he took the eyes he said your the 3rd path to nagato,

this is where i get the assumption from, Why eles would he give the eyes to nagato? if not for nagato with his uzamki blood to make them stronger, he is trying to reach the stage of 6 paths and he is at 3

imo, there was something special about one of the rest of paths that u can achieve by sacrificing something from you That would make sense to me

right this is bit weird but ... if u look at madaras mask there is clearly a hole for the 3rd eye... only thing i can think of is byakugan... but wouldnt that just be pointless or am i just reading into this too much

i think he just made a mask to resemble the shargian is all the top dot is paint there are no indications of depth to imply a hole

that would not explain, why he had a mask with just 1 hole whole time

something will appear there. Maybe a 10th beast's eye ^^

by your logic then his original mask should of indicated two holes in it a space for the left eye which it didn't

if i remember right, since his first appearance, he had 1 hole on his mask which was mangekyou sharingan
