if you've cooked the correct noodle you'd know its the same, you can always substitute the noodle for a thinner kind which makes it better actually, but the correct noodle is the one they supply you with, because it's the cheapest and easiest to mass produce

i used to work for my uncle and id watch him make ramen and pho all the time

the real ramen is pretty flavorless due to the lack of salt, the americanized "real" version of it is a saltier noodle that has a different texture and etc, but REAL ramen from japan is the same shit

actually, the generic flavor comes from the bullion, most of japanese ramen is made with bullion rather than meat, and its the equivalence of a side dish to them, they make it the cheap way lol

the americanized version is better because its a cuisine rather than a side dish

anyway for dummies:

instant noodles = like frozen foods

pho/ramen = classic old school mamass cooked foods

anyway Bun > Pho
