D Gray Man is really good but I don't feel like it fits this description. I don't think Allen Walker ever tries to hide his powers, they just slowly unlocks it. Excellent anime though.

The only thing I can think of that is similar to the type of character he is looking for is Kaze no Stigma where it takes him a while to reveal his powers. He keeps them hidden some what but you've already seen this.

Also the new anime Nurarihyon No Mago, displays a weak character who is actually very powerful.
Gintama kinda fits the main character part too lol, I don't highly recommend it though.


D. Gray Man is much better than Chrome Shelled Regios however. I've seen them both and based on your list I think you would enjoy this series.

Based on your list I also recommend: (seems you like many romance/action animes)

Claymore a great epic action series
Shakugan no Shana a way better version of kaze
Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~ an action anime which questions their self

Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter X Hunter are classics I've always loved.

I enjoyed all of those (saw them all the way through). I've also seen some of early Naruto (when it was only on the Zabuza saga and japanese only; maybe 8 years ago?) and I enjoyed it.

I prefer anime that is complete (as in they're not still making episodes and completed the story) and in English dubs if possible (subs aren't bad but I prefer dub because I can be lazy).

Currently watching D-gray man but on episode 15 and its really slow i get bored easy
already seen claymore + shakugan + phantom + kaze
seen yuyu kakusho when i was little
plan to watch hunter x hunter some day
also planned to watch Nurarihyon No Mago

reaquesting for somthing very similar to clannad
in general a well balanced comic/drama/romance anime

i started that a long time ago (2monts) stil dont feel like finishing it
im on ep 5 and so far and they didnt balance it that well imo
it has lots of dramatic ppl but stil didnt laugh a bit at the eps (only a lil gigle when that stuffed animal talks)

So I want to let Bleach, Naruto, and One Piece all progress before I marathon them.. I just completed Katekyo Hitman Reborn, if anybody could help me out I'd appreciate it.

Iso an anime with a decent amount of fighting, training is always good, a good love story is good. But I do not want a pure romance or drama anime. Thanks for your help
