you were right about the whole reiatsu in the sword shit
aizen couldn't sense his reiatsu since it was all condensed in his sword and muscles and then he became so powerfull that aizen couldn't sense his reiatsu
but ichigo was probably not able to finish him since he could only use normal attacks and he probably would never be able to finish aizen because a normal attack wouldn't do enough damage for a finishing blow even when he is that strong

so they pulled out the mugetsu

I would love to see an Squad Zero arc, although an arrancar arc seems nice 2 but we had one already and we already know alot about them so probably not going to happen
