Now comes the OVA's for Season 2.. i rate the first 2 episodes 7/10.
It would have been an 8 or a 9, but they dropped all the characters in the show too easily. Ayase, Kuroneko, Manami, Kanako.. They all were dropped from their parts in the show or reduced to a support character from their previous main roles.
Now the last episode.. i gave that a 2/10. I would probably have given it a 1, but i did like the episode up until the last real scene. The show seemed to have been given the perfect ending. I was happy with it, planning on saying this episode was worth a 10/10. Then they pulled the biggest change possible for this story...... The tore apart Kyousuke's entire life and friends in a mere 3 episodes for one reason.. and then they take it all away...
Since i just finished this, it's probably why i can explain how this feels right now so easily, but i've been asking myself "What the hell just happened?" in my head over and over..
The other characters weren't focused on because that wasn't the route that the author wanted.
Just because it isn't the route that you desire, that shouldn't be the only reason to underrate it.
Kyouske's friends don't all hate him, they just confessed their feelings for him and he rejected them.
Just because you were rejected by the person that you love doesn't mean your feelings for them are gone.
The reason is because he fell in love with his sister, who has been in love with him since they were kids.
It wasn't taken away at the end. If you were paying attention, you would have caught on fairly easily.
They both decided to act like a normal brother/sister relationship until after Kirino graduates - this was done in the hotel room.
We only figured out what they were planning in the hotel room after the wedding play.
This was not the author's intention, it was done in the animation because of how people would react.
In the end, they still love each other. Nothing was lost.
If you think Manami is lost as Kyouske's friend, then you should think about this.
Manami knew that Kirino liked Kyouske since they were kids, she told Kirino that it would never happen.
Manami also likes Kyouske, so she sees Kirino as an obstacle, vice versa with Kirino to Manami.
Kirino and Manami haven't gotten along with each other since then, which explains Kirino's reactions whenever Manami visits.
After Manami and Kirino's fight, she gets to hear Kyouske's opinion.
Manami could tell everyone the truth and have them separated, but that wouldn't be in her favor with Kyouske.
I think that she still likes Kyouske and doesn't want to lose him completely. Telling everyone about Kyouske and Kirino would make Kyouske hate her.
If you saw the reaction and support of his other friends, you would know that he didn't lose them.
