Finished it and you know it wasn't perfect by any means but I enjoyed it none the less was nice to see the main hero actually have a goal from the start to finish and complete it while actually improving as a trainer

Just watched both seasons of OreImo..

My friend told me before not to watch the OVA's if i decided to watch it.. I though i had avoided them, til i went onto MAL and saw that the first season was 12 episodes long, and i had watched 15...

Thanksfully this one it was just the alternate ending to set up the second season..

I was half way into season 2, and noticed there was only 13 episodes, but had 16 available..
So i got to episode 13, planning to stop there. And the show dropped on a massive cliff hanger.. So, i did the very thing i was told not to do by my friend.. I watched episodes 14 - 16. I hated how fast they started dropping characters in those three episodes, but i loved that he had finally come to terms with his emotions. So i was wondering why i was told not to watch the OVA's.. Then i got to the end of episode 16... The entire series was unraveled with one line..

Soo.. yeah..

Season 1 i gove 9/10 because i loved the comedy aspect of it.(9/10 for this seasons OVA as well)
Season 2, i gave a 8/10. It wasn't as good as the first season, but i was happy with it because of how all the characters got what they held in off of their chests. They had full developement(Except for Kanako that is.. She didn't have enough screen time IMO)
And they all were honest with themselves at the end, even if they all got rejected. It left a empty feeling in all, but it would have been a good way to end the show..

Now comes the OVA's for Season 2.. i rate the first 2 episodes 7/10.
It would have been an 8 or a 9, but they dropped all the characters in the show too easily. Ayase, Kuroneko, Manami, Kanako.. They all were dropped from their parts in the show or reduced to a support character from their previous main roles.

Now the last episode.. i gave that a 2/10. I would probably have given it a 1, but i did like the episode up until the last real scene. The show seemed to have been given the perfect ending. I was happy with it, planning on saying this episode was worth a 10/10. Then they pulled the biggest change possible for this story...... The tore apart Kyousuke's entire life and friends in a mere 3 episodes for one reason.. and then they take it all away...

Since i just finished this, it's probably why i can explain how this feels right now so easily, but i've been asking myself "What the hell just happened?" in my head over and over..

I'd like to ask a question for anyone who knows: Does the light novel give a better ending than this, or is it nearly identical? If it gives a better ending, i'm definitely going to go read them. But if it doesn't change anything, i don't want to end up more disappointed than i already am.

Last week or so.
Another- Pretty cool how it unfolded, Wouldn't have minded more clues, Also some more charecter deveolopment between the two mains.
8/10

Penguindrum- Something lured me to continue watching this, Didn't make to much sence, Ending was cool still left a few loose strings but answered most questions.
7/10

Nazo no Kanojo X- Cute show, exept for like 30% of it where saliva is transfered in not kissing... Storyline was definitley unique considering the fetish involved, Still wasnt much my cup of tea.
6.5/10

I liked another as well, and whoa your alive ?

The other characters weren't focused on because that wasn't the route that the author wanted.
Just because it isn't the route that you desire, that shouldn't be the only reason to underrate it.

Kyouske's friends don't all hate him, they just confessed their feelings for him and he rejected them.
Just because you were rejected by the person that you love doesn't mean your feelings for them are gone.
The reason is because he fell in love with his sister, who has been in love with him since they were kids.
It wasn't taken away at the end. If you were paying attention, you would have caught on fairly easily.
They both decided to act like a normal brother/sister relationship until after Kirino graduates - this was done in the hotel room.
We only figured out what they were planning in the hotel room after the wedding play.
This was not the author's intention, it was done in the animation because of how people would react.
In the end, they still love each other. Nothing was lost.

If you think Manami is lost as Kyouske's friend, then you should think about this.
Manami knew that Kirino liked Kyouske since they were kids, she told Kirino that it would never happen.
Manami also likes Kyouske, so she sees Kirino as an obstacle, vice versa with Kirino to Manami.
Kirino and Manami haven't gotten along with each other since then, which explains Kirino's reactions whenever Manami visits.
After Manami and Kirino's fight, she gets to hear Kyouske's opinion.
Manami could tell everyone the truth and have them separated, but that wouldn't be in her favor with Kyouske.
I think that she still likes Kyouske and doesn't want to lose him completely. Telling everyone about Kyouske and Kirino would make Kyouske hate her.

If you saw the reaction and support of his other friends, you would know that he didn't lose them.

I didn't underrate it because i thought the route was wrong. I just dislike them dropping everyone so quickly. I liked all of the characters for the most part, so i didn't like them being cut out.(even if it was just to further the story of him confessing to Kirino)

I know his friends don't hate him, but Ayase for example said herself she wasn't going to meet him again. So she is technically a completely dropped character. Kuroneko still loves him obviously, but she officially gave up on him when he chose Kirino, and she helped them get together.

I believe Manami will still try and separate them, but i also believe she will give up in time. And i believe you got that interpretation backwards..

This is a quote from the novel
Quote
" Kyousuke's final decision is that he won't be with anyone romantically. And that things won't go back to the way they were before."

What i understood from the Hotel comment, was that they would be a couple until Kyousuke graduates, then become a normal brother and sister again. Which that quote above supports, and so does the ending where they don't act like they are together any longer. The wedding scene was shortly after Kyousuke's graduation afterall, and before that they acted like a couple. Then they broke up.

Not that they will be a couple after Kirino graduates. i may have that interpreted wrong though, which seems unlikely with how the story played out.

Obviously they all accepted that he didn't chose them, but i don't believe anyone except for Kuroneko or Saori supported him in that choice, as they all criticized it the whole way. Kanako didn't have any set up for whether she accepts it or not, so i can't say anything about that. but Ayase cut herself from his life due to it, Manami tried to the last second to prevent them being together, even fighting Kirino over it.. I feel that Kuroneko was the only one of them that was understanding in that point, as she realized how they felt about each other before she even got together with Kyousuke.

oh, you're right actually. i just rewatched the scene.
i guess i misread it the first time i saw it when it came out.
now i understand why everyone is mad about it
but that doesn't change the fact that i enjoyed it.

i though that they would become a couple after they graduated, and would only act like siblings until then.

though, in my opinion, people shouldn't be so mad about that ending.
he would rather be with the girl he loved, even for a short amount of time, rather than being with someone else forever.

It's not that he chose Kirino that makes people mad(unless they wanted someone else), it's more that they finally revealed their feelings to each other and accepted each other, and then decided not to be together overall. They made a decision and stuck with it, i have no complaints with that. I just don't see the reason for them to break up. Kirino was bragging about them being together, all of Kyousuke's friends knew about them. The only obstacle left was their parents, but they decided to break it off after a short while.

That's what annoyed me about it, as i said in the first post, i would have given the episode 1/10 instead of 2/10 if i didn't enjoy at least part of the ending.
