And as a person who's watched DBZ and GT and read the mangas a ton of times and watched all the extra movies, I'm not just saying it.


If you read the current manga chapters for dragon ball super, they're blasting through content and skipping a bunch of things. The animated dragon ball super is doing the same (understandably so, since we had the movies) but the animation is REALLY on and off. You'll have like a SUPER clean shot of frieza's face and then a zoom out that an 8 year old kid drew. And the fights....

Fights in DBZ/GT were considered important and animated really well. In super, proportions are really off, it looks clunky and weird. You get a couple scenes that look really cool, but overall it's odd.

I mean just compare the animation of Resurrection of F to what's going on in Super. The movie's animation is virtually flawless.

Very well said my friend! I agree to 100%! Exactly back then, especially in GT, they really put in the effort to make sure everything looked good, which they did and it was a success.
Now all of a sudden they announce super after all these years, then u make sure to make it as good as possible and not bringing that kind of shit lookin animation...

Finally it's over and we move forward! I really liked this weekends episode!

And finally we fans got our wish granted! Gohan asked Piccolo at the end of the episode to help him start training again! So I was right! Gohan realized that he needs to start training again in order to protect the earth if such an evil force attacks so I'm really excited to see what gohan can bring further in the series

Looking at this objectively, it was a very good episode.

They did something they didn't do in the movie which is to show the important extra characters doing their thing across earth before dying from the freeza explosion. It added an extra element. The animation wasn't the best, but it's better than some of the things we've seen. Gohan's gonna train again! Vegeta gave a good beating to freeza too.

I liked this.
