Will take a look. Have seen a lot of Ghost in the Shell.

I prefer to stay away from shonens, some of them are pretty good though.

Exactly what is baww-fest? Major / Cross Game has some of it if I understood you correctly but they're mainly sports series. Then there's Eve no Jikan. That's about it but I probably got you wrong so after you explained I'll give better tips.
