pathetic.

perfect example of how console gaming pull the pc gaming backwards.

limit on the console or pc?
i'd figure at least there's a reasonable limit unlike fucking mmos where they advertise huge-scale battles but fail to mention the game engine is unable to support that many people, no matter your PC specs.
200v200 battles fuck ye ~crash.

altho 18 seems kinda low considering other FPS vs modes, idk.

both pc and consoles
till now I thought I might still buy it, despite no dedicated servers, but now they got it, I'll wait with changing my pc just to see if they gonna change anything with it

nothing new from ncsoft, in l2 it was as painful, till just recently, 150v150 was a pain in the ass on siege

well aion recently yeah, but p.much all the major territory-war type games've played it's been like that
lagged to fuck even on minimum settings cuz the engine just can't handle what they're throwing at it.
perfect world & its related games (kdxy, zhuxian, chibi etc), rappelz - the gm's fucking started to ban ppl for using certain skills & aoes in sieges, just cuz they produced game-dropping lag. never mind it being actually useful to your class or w/e.
neosteam lagged with like 15 people only zz..

you end up running around 1/2 blind with the game on lowest shaders/textures and its like playing a psx game on a 28" monitor -_-

I don't know any mmo that from the begining had good client.
I've played WAR for some time this year, had to turn off most of the effects to maintain good fps rate, other than that it was a great game (ye, it has already died).
I've only played aion open beta, didn't play the live one coz of uni&cash issue. :<

Next mmo I wanna try is the star wars shit, might be intresting.

Speaking of console games not being able to support a large number of players..

I wonder if MAG will actually be able to support the 256 player online that they are advocating.
