No, he mentioned that there are no indications towards Roger having a fruit, but the opposite is also the same, how can one definitively say that he does not?

i remember seeing episode of flashback from rogers ship (with Buggy + Shanks)

if i recall correctly, they said something about never seeing an actual devilfruit(?) and doubted those actually working

of course, i could also be wrong. but still, Do you wanna bet on it ?

im not sure if im correct since this was long ago, but roger was able to read them like how robin can read them as well since he was also able to leave a note on that big gold one in skypia.
