velvet kiss had an amazing ending.
Oh it's definately good, it's very Japan-ish in the fact that it's all about feelings of mutual longing and the tragic bonds of duty.
It's just when I watch a romance oriented work, personally really would like that they're all happy endings, now I know this can't happen but it's just my wish for couples to be happy. Although it's sort of implied that she'll come back to be with him, it's not certain. Although that last close up of her face says otherwise, there's still that "open ending" feel to it that makes you wonder. It was a great ending.
But the ending of Kanojo is more like, ok let's not see eachother ---> timeskip 2-3 years, doesn't feel like they'll see eachother again.
It's so cliche this whole artist work "if you're happy you can't produce well" . Although it's true that a lot of musicians say that they write their best songs when they're unhappy, it doesn't change the fact that I feel like it's lame that the author would go about this end.
In the end she will have to cope with these issues everytime she gets into a romantic relationship ( although I guess it's true that he was her editor so it made the situation more complicated ) .
